Photography is my way of paying attention.
I'm Brent. I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, and I've spent the last decade-plus traveling — eighty-plus countries so far — with a camera glued to my hand. Now I'm focused on doing this professionally for couples and families back home in Iowa, and anyone who'll fly me somewhere fun.
I speak both English and Spanish fluently, so the whole experience — from booking to the session itself — can happen in whichever language you're most comfortable in. That's a rarity in the Des Moines photo scene.
My approach is simple: treat your day like it's mine. Pay attention. Stay out of the way when the moment needs space, get close when it doesn't, and deliver photos you'll come back to in 30 years and still feel something.
Pro Canon kit. Backup body. Backup everything.
I shoot a Canon EOS R5 (45MP, full-frame) paired with L-series prime and zoom lenses. For weddings I carry a second body so you'll never lose a moment to a hardware issue, plus Godox strobes for receptions and low-light coverage. Everything backs up to two drives the moment we wrap.
Cards back up redundantly, files are kept for at least one year after delivery, and every shoot is covered by liability insurance — required by most Iowa wedding venues.
